Battle Ground, WA is celebrating a victory after attempts to prohibit chickens and other small livestock failed. The move was prompted by officials that worried about the negative effects of livestock in an increasinly urbanized area. Public comment and testimony from public officials concerning the positive impacts of urban livestock prompted the city to leave its rules as they are. See more here.
